On Saturday the 2nd of April 2016, this event proceeded, after very good event planning.

ECO Duc was booked to be the support boat of the “Atlantic Blue” swim relay team.

Here the team members Amien, Ashraf, Nazeema and Anwar are at the pre race briefing.

and well wishes are shared.

After the crossing, to the start on the island, Anwar makes his way to the line.

Once the race got under way, the boat crew had to locate Anwar so that support could be given.

After each swimmer exchange, our on board medic and co-pilot Naqita tends to the swimmer’s needs.

It’s a real team effort, and focus needs to be kept.

Ashraf had a week prior to the swim,  completed the 2 Oceans Ultra Marathon, . . . and he is looking good.
